Christmas Tree Inspiration

Holiday decorating ideas

When it comes to the holiday season, there’s nothing like setting up the Christmas tree in your family home. Countless memories are made picking a tree out, hanging each ornament, and recalling moments and loved ones from years gone by.

While some folks stick to decorating the same way each year, others enjoy themes or exploring new ideas every season. Here are some of our favorite Christmas tree looks for the 2019 holiday season.

Beach Themed Christmas Tree – as seen here

For a cool coastal inspired tree, think of colors naturally found in the ocean and at the beach. Stick with blues, greens, tans, and whites, and incorporate beloved symbols such as starfish, seashells, and sea glass. Materials like sand, linen, and sea-grass will add an extra special touch. You can also use fun items such as beach chairs, umbrellas, or anything with vacation vibes to go for a funkier look.

Adventure Themed Christmas Tree – as seen here

If your family loves the great outdoors, opt for an adventure filled tree this year. You can incorporate any trips you’ve taken over 2019, souvenirs you’ve gathered, and memories made. You might also include rustic trimmings such as wooden features, items found in nature, or anything with an “unfinished” look. Little lanterns, fishing ornaments, or cabin goodies will round this adventurous tree out.

Treats Themed Christmas Tree – as seen here

Ready for something sweet? Create the treats tree of your kid’s dreams by using donuts, snacks, candies, pretzels, popsicles, and more. While we can’t encourage using real food, picking out brightly colored ornaments in this theme will bring smiles galore. We love how these colorful goodies were placed on a white tree to truly stand out. Add colorful lights or garland, and an oversized tree topper such as a popcorn container or giant lollipop to round your tree out in a delicious way. Remind little ones nothing is edible to ensure they don’t try to sneak a taste.

Sports Themed Christmas Tree – as seen here

If you love sports, these trees are for you. This style Christmas tree for 2019 is actually pretty simple! Think of your favorite team, now think of their team colors, and voila! You’re pretty much set. Opt for a tree in one of those colors, as seen here on the left, or incorporate the team colors to a traditional green tree. Symbols of each sport, like basketballs, footballs, cleats, jerseys, etc, can be hung throughout. Add in the team name, festive garland, or a tree skirt designed like a soccer ball, baseball, or anything thematic. If you’ve got a reluctant decorator in the form of a teenager, this tree may be your saving grace.

Classic Santa Christmas Tree – as seen here

For those who love a classic look but still want something new, a Santa Claus tree is perfect for your family! Use Mr. Claus all over the tree and all over your home for one neat and festive look. The good news is you can find our favorite Ho-Ho-Ho man in the form of every decoration and ornament possible. The bad news is it’s hard to know when to stop! Choose Santa in multiple sizes to create a holiday range of delight and don’t forget about his classic symbols like stockings, bags full of gifts, and buddies like Rudolph and other flying reindeer. We love this look as it’s impossible to mess up, super fun for the kids to help with, and will bring joy and delight to your home and every guest who visits during the 2019 holidays.

How does your family love to decorate each year? Do you pick a new tree theme or stick with a favorite tradition? Do you have more than one tree at home? Whatever you choose, we hope it brings you lots of holiday excitement and wonderful memories this season.
